I GOT TA HAVE IT--->"Thunderbolts:CAGE" trade paper back

The moment you've I've been waiting for is finally upon us, Marvel has begun collecting the Luke Cage era of Thunderbolts into TPB

Here's the Sales Pitch:
It's a new era for Marvel's always evolving, always controversial team! The most dangerous people on Earth are now all in one hellish prison, and the only way out is through rehabilitation and contribution to society via The Thunderbolts... under the leadership of the steel-hardskinned Avenger named Luke Cage! So bring on the first participants: Juggernaut! Crossbones! Ghost! Moonstone! And...Man-Thing?

Thunderbolts scribe Jeff Parker does a better job writing Luke Cage than anyone else at Marvel, and not coincidentally, Thunderbolts is easily my favorite Marvel book right now. I don't get to the comicshop as much as I would like, so I'm missing a few issues, which gives me a good excuse to buy this trade... The Hardcover's been out for a minute, but now you I can get the paperback version at the local comicshop or bookstore (or click here to cop it on Amazon).

PREVIEW Thunderbolts #155

If you read regularly, I don't need to tell you how much I like Thunderbolts. Jeff Parker and Kev Walker's take on Luke Cage really appeals to me, and we get to see a little more...

Besides nailing Luke Cage, Parker is just good with character moments in general, as this sample shows. Hellstrom is shook. "Don't tell my sister" like Punchdrunk Love... Nice! I like how Walker draws Luke. He looks like he is old enough to be speaking from experience when he passes on Strange's plan. This issue of Thunderbolts comes out next week on March 16th. Me, I'm gonna try to tradewait on Thunderbolts now that Marvel's collecting the Luke Cage issues, starting at the end of the month. It's gonna be tough for me, but luckily I'm poor, so that should help... Anyways, since you have a real job, you should pick up some T-bolts next week!

PREVIEW- Thunderbolts #153

Giant monsters and the evil Hyperion (the marvel version of Bizarro, only not as pale and dim-witted) are on the loose, and Luke Cage is down... who can help in your time of need? Oh yeeah! IT'S THE JUGGANAUT, BITCH, comin' ta save yo punk ass...

I took it pretty hard when Luke Cage got smacked up last issue... but since he's being rescued by the one and only Juggernaut, I can live with it. Jeff Parker is writing the crap out of this book! I forget about half the books I intend to buy when I visit the comic shop, but I ALWAYS remember Thunderbolts! Issue #153, hits stores this week on Wednesday, February 16th. I'm sure Luke Cage will be okay...

PREVIEW: Thunderbolts # 152

I love Thunderbolts. It's pro'lly my favorite Marvel comic. If you like Luke Cage, this is definitely a book you should be reading...

The T-Bolts leap into HULK’s “Scorched Earth”! At the request of Steve Rogers, Luke Cage must take his hardened team to deal with a doomsday scenario unleashed in the pages of HULK! And now that the squad is a man short, Cage finally uses his power to recruit another prisoner to duty—and his pick will shock you! Will the Thunderbolts accept this new member as a part of their force? Or will this heavy duty wild card destroy the balance of power?

Kev Walker's art is right up my alley, and I particularly enjoy his depiction of Luke Cage. I also think Jeff Parker writes Cage way better than Bendis... Anyways, hope you enjoyed the preview. Thunderbolts #152 will be in stores January 26th

PREVIEW: Thunderbolts #150

I recently bought the last few issues of Thunderbolts, and I will admit I'm hooked on the book again. There is really a pressure cooker brewing on Luke Cage's team of ne'er do wells, and now we have an opportunity for some serious beef with Cage's fellow Avengers in the super-sized Thunderbolts 150.

The Sales Pitch:
Iron Man, Thor and the original Captain America guest-star in this 96-page 150th blow-out issue! First, in the 40-page lead story, The Thunderbolts reach their milestone as loudly as possible, when the golden figures of the Marvel Universe come to their gray world--none other than the Armored Avenger, the God of Thunder and the Super-Soldier! Thor has come to hold court with one of his people held in the women's wing of The Raft, and when his fellow Avengers join him, things go to a realm no one expected! Iron Man comes face-to-face with Ghost, the man who almost killed him, and Steve Rogers confronts the man who did kill him, Crossbones! Plus: character bios, key reprints and more surprises in the book that has IGN.com exclaiming: “Parker and Walker are injecting a bit of fun and excitement into the title…This is the most consistently enjoyable title with the Heroic Age banner and anyone looking for a great team book would do well to give Thunderbolts a read.”

yeah... I'm buying it... Parker is doing a great job with the characters and creating tension. And Kev Walker is killing the art.
Thunderbolts #150 will be in stores on next Wednesday, November 17th.

PREVIEW: Thunderbolts #149

Luke Cage doesn't appear in this 6 page preview of Thunderbolts #149 but I assure you that he's in charge of the Thunderbolts, the (now) government-sponsored program to reform supervillains. Except in this case he puts veteran team-member the Fixer on point when he sends them into the sewers under Hell's Kitchen to face the super-powered ninjas of the Underhand. I for one am really feeling the direction of the Thunderbolts under writer Jeff Parker and artist Declan Shalvey. For those of you that would enjoy it too, here's another preview!
Here's the Sales Pitch:
A SHADOWLAND TIE-IN! Luke Cage’s squad of fierce felons face the nature of true evil when they uncover secrets of the ancient order known as The Hand beneath Hell's Kitchen! Will a group of people rarely known for doing the right thing choose a higher path—or will they add to the power of the ninja cult? Meanwhile, as Cage fights to help his friend Daredevil up on the streets, he realizes that he picked a bad time to trust his skeleton crew of criminal operatives on an unsupervised mission!

Thunderbolts #149 hits shops Wednesday October 27.
