Young Love #78 (On Sale: November 6, 1969) has a cover by Dick Giordano.

We begin with our cover-story, "20 Miles to Heartbreak" by Barbara Freidlander, Alex Toth and Vince Colletta, which was reprinted in Young Love #122. 20 Miles to Heartbreak is a unique, four-part romance serial which crosses over from Young Love to Secret Hearts and then back again. Giordano was sure up for trying out different ideas in these romance books.

Next is "A Kiss to Tame a Tiger," and we end with an untitled Lisa St. Claire story.

Young Love #76 (On Sale: July 10, 1969) has a cover by I would guess Dick Giordano. He certainly inked this beauty.

We really have no luck with this issue. We start with "To My Love," continue with "To Bill... With Love," which is reprinted from Secret Hearts #41 and end with an untitled Lisa St. Claire story. We have zero credits for all of these.

Young Love #75 (On Sale: May 8, 1969) has a cover at least inked by Dick Giordano. Dick may have also provided the pencils.

Once again we know very little about this issue. It begins with "Help Romance Along" by persons unknown and then moves on to "Dance Till Dawn," a reprint from Secret Hearts #42 which is also by persons unknown. We round out the issue with an untitled Lisa St. Claire story and, hitting the trifecta, it is also by persons unknown.

Young Love #71 (On Sale: September 12, 1968) has a Lisa St. Claire cover with uninspired coloring that I am certain is inked by Dick Giordano and that might be penciled by Mike Sekowsky.

We begin with "Tall Dark and Married" by persons unknows anf then move on to "Come to My Arms" a reprint from Heart Throbs #83 pencilled by Mike Sekowsky. Lastly we have our untitled Lisa St. Claire story also by persons unknown.

Young Love #69 (On Sale: June 13, 1968) is an oddly sized 64-Page Giant.

"Tears for a Dream" is pencilled by John Romita and comes to us from Heart Throbs #85. "Heartbreak in Paradise" is drawn by Jay Scott Pike and is reprinted from Secret Hearts #91 as is "A Shoe for Cinderella" which comes from Secret hearts #88. "Moment of Truth" is by persons unknown and is from Falling In Love #54. "To Hide from Love" is also by persons unknown and is from Girls' Love Stories #66 where it was entitled "To Hide in a Dream". Also by person unknown is "Forgive Me, Forget Me" from Girls' Love Stories #74. We end with "Curtain for a Heart" from Falling In Love #54 and drawn by Bernard Sachs.

Young Love #68 (On Sale: May 9, 1968) has a cover by Jay Scott Pike over a Dick Giordano layout and it might be inked by Giordano as well.

Inside we have "Guardian of His Heart" and "The One I Loved" created by persons unknown. Lastly we have Lisa St. Claire in "Life and Loves of Lisa St. Claire" a new continuing series by created by Dick Giordano, written by Jack Miller and drawn by Jay Scott Pike.

My first guess was that all of these were inventory stories from Jack Miller's run as editor, but in searching for the cover credits I came upon this from an issue of Comic Book Artist in an interview with Dick Giordano by Jon B. Cooke:

"The Romance covers were the books I was allowed to design and they were the love of my life! That series (Young Love #68, "The Life and Loves of Lisa St. Claire") was adapted from a newspaper strip that I developed. Lisa is my daughter's name. The strip pitch never got presented to anybody but I had the first story written and some of it storyboarded. When I got Young Love to edit, I went to Jack Miller (whom I happened to like though I was told to ignore him) and gave him my notes and we went with it. And I got my favorite Romance artist to draw it, Jay Scott Pike."
