Here's the Sales Pitch:

Word is this somehow ties into the latest Marvel U crossover "Fear Itself"... which I know nothing about (sorry). I just couldn't resist posting this art! Looks like my boy Jim Rhodes is in capable hands. Anyways, Iron Man 2.0 #6 lands in stores June 22nd.

Jim Rhodes stars in ongoing series Iron Man 2.0

I bet you didn't know War Machine (the black Iron Man played by Don Cheadle in Iron Man 2) was getting his own ongoing book called Iron Man 2.0... oh, you did? Well, I had no idea! Not sure why this surprises me, but it does. Makes sense though, since they are making these multi-gillion dollar movies now. Way to capitalize Disney!
I'm sorry, what was I saying? OH RIGHT! Peep some preview pages from issue one and two of the series below...

Looks like Rhodey's pull with Asian chicks is minimal... This might be a book I need to pick up... we'll see... Iron Man 2.0 #1 is in stores now. #2 hits stores on March 16th.

new Iron Man drawing

I did this Iron Man piece for a commission for DwainIBe of my Twitter familia. I started to cop out and do the 80's Iron Man, but I thought I would try and do a version of the one from the movie.

Geez that thing is complicated! I realized I don't like drawing Iron Man in a way that makes him look like a robot. This armor looks like it could easily walk around by itself... I tried to hint at the man underneath.

I always enjoyed renditions that stressed that Tony is a super hero, not an armored stormtrooper like a SHIELD Mandroid or whatever. He's flashier than a soldier would be in the suit.
